Annual event June 30
The ninth annual Crown Point Strawberry Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. The event, sponsored by the First Congregational Church, will be held in the town park Sunday, June 30, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Improvements needed at Protestant Cemetery
A historic cemetery in need of assistance is now the responsibility of Schroon taxpayers. The Protestant Cemetery on Hoffman Road has formally been abandoned.
A donation of $78,000 has been given to North Country Ministry in honor of Father Paul Cox of Cleverdale.
Ticonderoga event May 2
National Day of Prayer will be observed in Ticonderoga. The Adirondack Community Fellowship will sponsor the event Thursday, May 2, at 6 p.m. at the gazebo in Bicentennial Park. In the event of rain it will be held in the Cornerstone Alliance Church across the street.

Eight years ago, in February, North Country Ministry’s Baby’s Place Play Group was born.
Dinner March 10 in Elizabethtown
Students from Schroon Lake and Elizabethtown-Lewis schools are joining forces to assist children in Nicaragua. A spaghetti dinner will be served Sunday, March 10, 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the Cobble Hill Inn in Elizabethtown to raise money to educate students in the third-world nation. Tickets are $10 a person and $30 for families of four or more people.
Another favorite holiday tradition at North Creek United Methodist Church (NCUMC) for many years is supporting Heifer Project International.
