If you could choose any animal for a class pet, what would you choose and why?

Minerva Central School

Mrs. Williford’s Kindergarten

“I would pick a dog because I like dogs and cats.” (Thomas Ball)

“I would pick a hamster because I like hamsters. Don’t squish them!” (Hayden Taylor)

“I would pick a baby bird because it would e easy to take care of it. It would be really small.” (Alex Mather)

“I would pick a dog because dogs are fast and dogs are so cute.” (Katelin McNally)

“I would pick a monkey because monkeys are wild and can climb trees.” (James Fish)

Miss. Gereau’s fifth grade

“I would chose a hamster because hamsters are small and quiet. So when we are working we won’t hear it because it doesn’t make any noise. They also are small so they don’t take up much room in the classroom. I want a hamster because they are really fuzzy.

Maybe we could have turns taking care of the hamster every week. It could teach the kids to be more responsible. (Audrey Fish)

“Hamster because they are easy to take care of. You clean their cage once a week and you feed them every other day. They’re easy to work with because they are nocturnal. Nocturnal means to sleep during the day and active at night. If you want a hamster, don’t put two males together because they will fight and one day you will have to separate them. You can put a make and a female together and they will mate and then you will have cute baby hamsters. That is why I would choose a hamster as a class pet. (Vince Charbonneau)

“If I could choose any class pet I would choose a gerbil. They are smaller than hamsters. You don’t have to worry about clipping their nails all the time. If you have more than one they won’t fight. They are also cute. I know this because I have two gerbils. I got them a few months ago. Thats why I think they would make a good class pet.  (Lucas Vogel)
